Mary Kaye graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in human development. After a career working as advertising director of several magazines, she discovered the transforming effects of yoga and was quickly inspired. She studied ashtanga, kundalini, hatha, iyengar and anusara yoga, completed several levels of teacher training through the Radiant Child Yoga Program and is certified through Yoga Alliance. Mary Kaye has spent over 15 years teaching and coaching children in various sport and yoga programs.

Drawn to the creative, peaceful and heart opening aspects of yoga, Mary Kaye's classes are playful, challenging, outrageous and soulful. A kid at heart, her sense of humor and innate understanding of yoga and children make her programs very popular with children, teenagers and parents. Mary Kaye teaches at yoga studios, Kid's Time Programs, The Walker School for children with mental illness or histories of abuse, The Epiphany School and Harbor School in the inner city and through various private and public schools.

Mary Kaye has written three books: I Love Yoga for young children, Breathe: Yoga for Teens and a yoga card deck, Yoga for Teens. Her books focus on how to lessen childhood anxiety and find ways to change the way you think so you attract positive experiences and relationships. She is a motivational speaker for teens and speaks in high schools about the Power of Positive Thinking as well as wellness issues. Mary Kaye lives in the Boston area with her husband, three yogi children and dog.
